How Do I Check-in For Delta Flight?

Web Check In

Delta online check in is a convenient option for those passengers who want to check in for their flights and get their boarding passes in advance. Below we have mentioned some important information and procedures of Delta Airlines check in online : 

• The Online check in starts 24 hours before the scheduled departure of your flight and it remains available till 60 to 90 minutes before the departure. 
• In order to check-in online for the flight, the passengers will have to navigate the official website of Delta Air Lines. The check in option is in the top left corner of the airline’s homepage. After clicking on that page, the passengers have to enter the ticket or confirmation number and the name of the departure airport. 
• Once the process is completed, the passengers will receive their electronic boarding passes. The boarding passes can be saved as a digital copy in the mobile device or it can be printed in order to present it at the airport. 

Mobile Check in

The web Delta check in process through mobile applications is more or less same as the web check in through official websites. Here are some important information related to Mobile check in process of Delta Air Lines : 

• Delta has a mobile application available on iOS and Android devices. Passengers can download the application from the respective app stores. 
• After downloading and installing the Delta mobile application, the passengers can open the app and select the Delta flight check in option. Then provide the necessary information like the confirmation or ticket number and the name of the departure airport. 
• After completing the process, passengers will receive their electronic boarding passes through the Delta mobile application. Passengers can use their passes to pass through security checkpoints and board the flight. 

Airport Check in 

Delta Air Lines offer the Airport check in option for particularly those passengers who prefer to check in for their flights in person at the airport. Keep reading to know about the procedure : 

• The location of the Delta Airlines check-in counter at the airport varies from one airport to the other but in general, they are located in the departure terminal or in the designated check in zones. 
• It is recommended to the passengers to arrive at the airport with sufficient time before the scheduled departure in order to complete  the check in process, security checks, and other prior procedures. The recommended arrival time varies according to the type of flight (national or international) and the airport. In general, it is recommended to arrive at the airport at least 2 to 3 hours before the flight. 
• The passengers can go to the Delta check in counters and provide the necessary information and documents to the agents of the airline. • The self service Delta Kiosks are located near the Delta Air Lines airport counters or in the designated self service zones. 
• These kiosks are available for the use of the passengers before the 24 hours of the scheduled departure of the flight.  And it closes at least one hour before the scheduled departure so make sure you do it at least 2 hours before your flight. 
• The passengers can go to a Self Service Kiosk of Delta at the airport and follow the instructions mentioned on the screen in order to check in for the flight. Passengers then need to provide important information like Conformation number and the Surname of the passenger. 
• If the passengers have checked baggage, the Kiosk will guide the passengers through the process of labelling the checked bags and printing the tags on the bags. 
• Once the process of Delta check in at the kiosks is completed, the passengers will get their boarding passes. The boarding passes can be printed directly from the kiosk or can be sent to a mobile device or email address for digital use. 

Does Delta Automatically Check You In?

Delta’s auto check-in notifies passengers about the issued boarding pass 24-hours prior to departure. Passengers can download the print online or get it from the airport’s Delta counter.
