Bahamasair Airlines- the national airline of the Bahamas, was founded in 1973 and commenced its operation in the same year. The airline is headquartered in Nassau and operates scheduled services to 32 domestic and regional destinations in the Caribbean and the US. Lynden Pindling International Airport is its primary hub. In addition, it offers a total of eight flights.

Cancellation Policy

Bahamasair (UP) constantly updates its cancellation and refund policy to keep it flexible and convenient for passengers. Refund Policy

• The airline offers both refundable and non-refundable flight tickets. Depending on the type of ticket, the airline decides to initiate a refund against the ticket.
• As per Bahamasair flight cancellation refund policy, the passenger is eligible for a refund if the flight is cancelled within 24 hours from booking. The refund will be generated back to the source of the payment. 
• If your flight is cancelled or delayed by 4 hours or more, you are eligible for a refund.

Baggage Policy

The Bahamasair baggage policy allows passengers to bring only one free handbag into the cabin. The maximum length of the carry-on baggage should be 56×33×25cm, and the weight should not be more than 20lbs.

• The items allowed for the child are a fully collapsible pushchair (stroller/buggy), a car or booster seat, a travel cot, or a baby back carrier.
• The checked baggage allowance for a lap infant is one piece of checked baggage up to 50lbs.
• If you require a seat to be occupied by your baby, you must purchase the ticket.
• Only two children per person are allowed on board, and you can carry only one infant in your arms.
• Children above 5 to 14 years old are qualified to travel unaccompanied on non-stop or same-plane flights.

Carry-on Pets

• Cats and dogs are acceptable as cabin pets. Only two pets are allowed in the cabin on a flight.
• The pet should be at least 8 weeks old to board on a flight.
• The dimension of the carrier should be 10”×15”×14” and the weight of the pet should not exceed 20 lbs.
• Pets must be able to stand, turn around, and lie down in a natural position in the carrier.

Booking Fee

It doesn’t charge any booking fees for bookings via the official website. However, the airline levies some carrier-imposed charges.
